What is your Skin Eating??
Consumers are becoming slowly more label conscious or food conscious as we see brands like Kraft or the cereal companies talk about high fructose corn syrup, or baby products say "BPA free" - but what about your skin? stuff that you put on your face or your skin everyday- lotion, moisturizer, foundation, lipstick, chapstick....
Your skin is the largest organ we have in our bodies. What we put on your skin is also absorbed in our blood. So its a little scary when paraben is soaked into our bloodstream, and we find out that its a chemical that our body has no clue what to do with, have no idea how toxic it is, and have no idea what role it plays in cancer. Even the FDA doesn't know, but yet we continue to put it on if not once a day, twice a day - EVERYDAY! Take a look at what is in your bathroom and see if you can even pronounce the ingredients? then ask why do I put this on my skin? would i eat this?
Replace these items with ingredients you know: lemon, eucalyptus, sunflower, etc

Cooking and still staying sane
HelloFresh has been my answer!
I was hesitant at first but didn't really enjoy meal trains (though thoughtful) when Pp with first baby. For our second signed up before she was due and was able to move the food delivery date whenever she came. It's really easy and convenient .
No commitment and u won't get boxes ur not ready for.
I won't call myself picky but I am particular, and found myself even eating veggies I wouldn't really eat- like Brussels sprouts, bell peppers, quinoa. My husband likes it because they break it down in recipes so he saves ones he really likes. He says its like we're taking cooking classes at home.
Only downside I feel is the packaging. A lot of packaging as they need to and to make sure everything is fresh, so we just recycle the bags and boxes and what mom doesn't need ice packs.
Here's what I'm prepping for dinner tonight...
If there's something I can make early to save me time I do... And the recipe is detailed enough to let u know
So I'm making the coconut rice ahead of time- quite excited to see what it tastes like!
But they give u everything and it's pretty idiot proof. I can cook and cook from scratch but this takes the measuring, shopping, and brain work out of it. I'll take no brainer stuff for now while sleep deprived, but make great meals for the family and save $.
Want to try it out? I typically get to give away 3 boxes after particular periods of time, so leave a comment with your email of interested. I don't have any affiliation with HelloFresh (just a happy customer) and these free boxes I don't get any kick backs or discounts, so just to share.
Here's for the coupon deal!
Try your first HelloFresh box next week and receive $40 off of your first box!

Introduction.... Nice to meet you and welcome
Welcome to my eccentric, comedic, rant and rave of My So called Life :) I've been meaning to start a Blog just to help document my lovely adventures as wife, mom, professional, woman, homeowner, landlord, daughter, sister, and who knows what else.
A little about me- born and raised Cali girl, working full time in the Biotech industry. Science is my life. Biology is my bible, and my brain only works on what makes sense to me either via upbringing, research, friends, etc. so hence MamaNature... Mother Nature makes a lot of sense to me, and thats how I live. Eating, raising children, maintaining my marriage, etc all looking at how Mother Nature does it, or how she intended it to be. I'm a believer in Survival of the Fittest- my favorite and most detested movie is, Idiocracy (Google it if interested in watching a horrible yet enlightening comedy On the "Realz.") I'm candid and verbally vomit all the time, hence why this blog will be fun, and hopefully keep me out of trouble, but 99% of the time my verbal vomits are true, its just people didn't want to hear them at that moment.
Right now I'm a mom of 2 under the age of 2, so a lot of this will be concerning mommyhood, parenting, maintaining my marriage, continuing to be a mom that likes to work full time if not sometimes overtime, and i'm a mom in management too, so hypothetically i'm a mom to 15 other employees. Enjoy the rollercoaster ride with me, and would love to find others that are on the magical ride together.
Disclaimer: because i am all of above, my initial intent is to use this like a journal and just typographically verbally vomit on my keyboard, so somethings may not make sense, but my goal is to not over think this and not filter stuff and keep it REALZ. also because of that i do want to blog frequently but we'll see what life gives me to have time to jot and share this with all of you. ENJOY!
