Consumers are becoming slowly more label conscious or food conscious as we see brands like Kraft or the cereal companies talk about high fructose corn syrup, or baby products say "BPA free" - but what about your skin? stuff that you put on your face or your skin everyday- lotion, moisturizer, foundation, lipstick, chapstick....
Your skin is the largest organ we have in our bodies. What we put on your skin is also absorbed in our blood. So its a little scary when paraben is soaked into our bloodstream, and we find out that its a chemical that our body has no clue what to do with, have no idea how toxic it is, and have no idea what role it plays in cancer. Even the FDA doesn't know, but yet we continue to put it on if not once a day, twice a day - EVERYDAY! Take a look at what is in your bathroom and see if you can even pronounce the ingredients? then ask why do I put this on my skin? would i eat this?
Replace these items with ingredients you know: lemon, eucalyptus, sunflower, etc
